Foster Parent Info Meeting

Crossroads is a faith-based non-profit focused on recruiting, equipping, and supporting foster families from the local faith community in the Orleans, Covington, and Shreveport DCFS regions. Crossroads has a partnership with the Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS) that allows us to assist and support families as they move through the certification process with DCFS. Once a family has been certified by DCFS, we also provide support services, which include trainings, resources, and other forms of support throughout the foster care experience.

This brief Foster Parent Info Meeting is an orientation that is required by the Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS), and is also an opportunity for you to learn more about Crossroads and the support services we provide. It's the first step in learning how to become a certified foster parent. When you attend, we’ll give you the information you need to begin to prepare your home and gather the necessary documents for your application.
